Business Controller
At HMS Industrial Networks, we value the tremendous contributions of our employees, and we recognize that it is our people that make HMS successful. We work hard to maintain our vibrant, innovative, and welcoming culture, and we strive to support our staff as they grow and develop both personally and professionally.
We’re now looking for a driven and analytical Business Controller to join our Industrial Network Technology Division. You’ll have the opportunity to influence strategic decisions, partner with key functions across an international organization, and drive value through financial insights.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a newly established role within our Industrial Network Technology division—created to meet the growing need for stronger financial insight, data-driven decision making and strategic support across our business. You will play a vital role within our Business Controller team with tasks such as profitability analysis, monthly variance analysis, budget & forecasting and tracking of KPIs.
In this role, you will act as a finance business partner for our global sales organization, turning data into relevant, actionable insights that support critical decision-making and long-term business success. You will be part of shaping not only the numbers, but the strategic decision-making from a financial point of view.
What You’ll Do:
• Conduct comprehensive sales and profitability analyses across regions, customer segments, product lines, and customer base.
• Support the sales organization in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Drive financial and operational insights by leveraging digital tools, data analytics, and performance dashboards.
• Act as a proactive financial business partner to Sales Directors, offering strategic and financial support.
• Assist the VP of Business Controlling with management reporting, as well as division-wide financial projects and initiatives.
• Ensuring the Division stays aligned with its objectives through KPI analysis and follow-up.
ABOUT YOU
You are a proactive and business-minded finance professional who thrives in a collaborative, international environment. You combine strong analytical skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset, and you're not afraid to challenge the status quo when needed.
Your Background & Strengths:
• A university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• 3–4 years of experience from a similar Business Controller or FP&A role and experience from working in global manufacturing organization.
• Experience working in an international context, collaborating across locations and cultures
• Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English
• Advanced orientation in financial IT systems - Preferable experience with Power-BI. Experienced user of Microsoft Office – especially Excel.
• Good analytical and communication skills, ability to communicate financial conclusions and recommendations in a crisp and business-oriented way
• A strong personal drive, with a natural sense of ownership and initiative
• The confidence to influence, challenge, and support decision-makers at all levels
Experience from our industry is considered a plus but it is not a requirement—we’re more interested in your curiosity, adaptability, and desire to make a difference.
