Customs Operations Specialist
Company Description
Customs Operation in Älmhult, Sweden consists of approx. 35 co-workers, divided into 3 Support teams. Our assignment is to secure a well-functioning import and/or export process for more than 30 countries in the region, on different levels of detail. We give daily support and coordination in customs related topics within legal matters, goods flow and IT-knowledge to secure availability, affordability and ensure compliance.

As Customs Operations Specialist working at Customs Operations, the main assignment is to secure the Import Control for our FOOD range and send correctly compiled import declarations using a digital solution in direct contact with Customs Authorities in each country.
As a Customs Operations Specialist you will:
- Secure good communication and support to and from other IKEA units, external service providers and authorities within Europe to ensure timely, accurate and compliant entries according to customs rules and regulations.
- Control and investigate various issues to secure compliance in every customs declaration according to countries legislations.
- Contribute to the development of how we work and reaching our goals within the department.

Qualifications
We believe you have plenty of energy and curiosity to learn and we see that you are a person that is driven and dares to challenge people and business. You have a logical mind and understands IT solutions digital connections quickly.
To be successful in this position we believe you are:
- Experienced or have an education within the field of customs and import operation, logistics and/or supply chain
- Motivated by working in a routine-based environment at a high pace
- Familiar with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
- Comfortable with working and navigating in digital IT solutions
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
