Financial Accounting Lead

- Work with the financial closing process for Swedbank AB and it’s branches. The team’s responsibilities include the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts for Swedbank AB, consolidation of the parent company, analysis of income statement and balance sheet and maintenance of the chart of accounts
- Opportunity to participate and support the Head of Accounting in financial closing and resource planning within the team
- Independently drive new activities and formulate business requirements for upcoming initiatives
- Participate in building competence within the team related to IFRS, local accounting standards, and accounting knowledge
- Assist in ensuring an efficient closing process with accurate and timely accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Suggest process improvements and implement necessary controls within the team to ensure a timely and accurate period-end closing process.
- Support in interpretation and implementation of changes to accounting regulations
- Actively participate in and drive projects and change initiatives
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Finance
- Experience from previous roles within finance, accounting, at least 5 years
- Experience in activities related to development and change management processes
- Understanding of operational risk framework
- A proven ability to lead change and drive transformational initiative
- A good understanding of Swedish and international accounting standards, along with experience in the audit sector, is considered a merit.
- To be a team player and ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and Swedish
- An open and positive attitude towards challenges and new ways of working with a strong drive for improvement and development
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Good knowledge of Excel and other MS Office tools
