IT Solution Architect & Team Lead

About the role

At Essity, we are embarking on a challenging journey to transform and harmonize our processes in the forecast to stock area. We intend to leverage the digital capabilities to S4HANA to design our next generation processes. As our organization becomes more process oriented, we believe designing and guiding on solutions that support these processes will be a key to future success.

We are seeking an expert in ECC but also towards S4HANA – Supply Chain Management who can be part of this transformation journey and guide the process team from an architecture standpoint.

You must be able to understand business requirements and business processes as well as the underlying business value and needs that drive the technology. With a solution focus, broadly you will be providing the guidance and architectural recommendations for various projects, products and initiatives related to the key areas (but not limited to) of supply chain planning and execution such as demand planning, warehousing, inventory management, logistic, interface to our 3PL and other warehousing systems, transportation, replenishment and others. This would be considering various aspects like use case, target architecture, strategic and tactical fit, architectural impact, cost, security, value foreseen, functionalities covered and several others.

You feel ownership (and are responsible) for the solutions you are driving, govern them, guide the teams and know how to balance speed and quality in delivery. You are aware of the best practices in your domain, and you know the best way to utilize them, or you are keen to learn and share your findings with others.

You should be aware about Enterprise Architecture concepts and frameworks and have a mindset of an EA.

Besides the solution you will also be the team lead for the F2S Technical team. The team consists of developers and integrations analysts. Together you provide a reliable service, and you support the team members to reach their best potential.

You are used to working with both internal and external partners and suppliers from multiple countries and cultures.

What will you do

• Take a leading role in projects or other initiatives to ensure all requirements, including functional, integration, security, performance, quality, and operations are addressed
• Responsible to ensure that the architecture requirements for the development, execution, and operations are implemented as designed
• Update and maintain the Supply Chain documentation of the architecture, network and applications used.
• Have an Enterprise Architecture view of the Supply Chain area and manage it well by collaborating with Business and IT stakeholders
• Cooperate with other architects to ensure that the solutions and components work together to meet the objectives and work jointly to ensure collaboration between initiatives
• Lead the IT Architecture analysis, design, and implementation and ensure that policies and standards are followed in respective area
• Validate requirements and obtain stakeholder buy-in for architecture designs
• Create business cases, narratives and assess architecture impacts for new / changed solutions and present to a broad stake holder group from Business and IT
• Identify and communicate any cross-area or cross-release issues that affect other project areas
• Support development of architecture reference architecture, including standards and in management of exemptions
• Actively seek out new technologies and trends and advocate for change within Essity
• Lead the F2S Technical team as a team lead

Who you are

• University degree in computer science, management information systems, or related discipline
• More than 5 years of experience in IT development and business analysis in the area of SAP EWM, S4HANA – Supply Chain Management and ECC
• Considerable Architecture experience in the given domain
• Knowledge in Target Architecture and Road mapping; Solution design, guidance & governance
• Ability to lead an international team
• Strong communication skills
• Competence to adapt tone and style to suit the audience
• Open to cultivate cultural intelligence and doesn’t shy away from addressing conflicts
• Fluent in English, both written and oral
• Ability to travel (up to 20%)

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to combine strategic thinking, have strong communication skills a broad understanding of each of the IT disciplines as well as a strong commercial understanding of where potential value opportunities exist through effective IT architecture.
