We are now looking for a Production Manager to join our team at the Skutskär Production Unit. With a passion for leadership, your main task is to lead and drive the development of the production organization and respective teams to ensure high ambitions, build a strong safety culture, enhance quality standards and customer focus, and to develop and implement world-class manufacturing processes. While promoting and implementing best practices, you inspire and motivate the full organization’s drive towards an effective and efficient delivery. You will report to the Production Unit Director and be a member of our leadership team on-site. The production organization consists today of approximately 210 team members.

Key focus areas:

Leadership and Strategic planning

  • Develop a strategical and tactical plan aligned with the organization's vision and goals.
  • Create and communicate a vision for the Production organisation and engage team members in following this vision.
  • Ensure progress through a systematic approach and by promoting a culture of focus and continuous improvement throughout your organization.

Operational Excellence and TPM implementation.

  • Lead and follow up the implementation of the TPM strategy and plan together with internal support functions.

Stakeholder Management.

  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with the other departments to ensure that methods and activities are smoothly integrated into operations. Challenge as needed. Make use of outside-in perspectives to ensure we continuously learn from the best.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a person who is passionate about safety and quality in manufacturing. You have proven experience in production management, preferably in the pulp and paper industry. With your ability to enthusiastically transform strategy into action, you will, directly and indirectly, engage the entire organization in this journey of change. You create results by actively promoting diversity and inclusion.

Your proficiency is based on a master’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or another relevant area. Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement is an asset. You are a great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. You also have knowledge and experience in TPM based problem-solving methodologies. This position requires occasional travel.

Skills, we expect you to have:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to inspire and motivate
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards and customer needs
  • You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and written

Additional skills that will help you succeed in this role:

  • Experience in lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to analyse and optimize production processes
