Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

The Software Engineer develops and maintains Software used to create Xylem Services.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

• Development of new features and maintenance of existing Xylem Services
• Development of new Xylem Services
• Responsible for developing cybersecure, scalable and reliable solutions.
• Mentoring and onboarding new team members

Additional Responsibilities:

• Can act as a Scrum Master
• Can act as a Software Architect
• Can act as a DevOps Engineer
• Can act as a Test Engineer/QA

Required Qualifications:

Minimal education & experience, essential skills & abilities and required license/certification to perform this job.

Professional skills

• Master/Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent working experience
• Web Application Development
• Cloud Development
• Java and/or Angular
• Agile Development Methods

Personal skills

Service oriented. Must be able to communicate well with our business partners and understand their needs. Must be structured and thorough to deliver maintenance free scalable and stable applications. Must be able to work independently as well as function well in a team. Must be able to work in a global environment with people from many various backgrounds and cultures. Must show respect to other people’s points of views. Good knowledge in English is a must. Knowledge in Swedish is preferable.
