System Engineer

Background The System Engineer works in a team responsible for system Operations and Maintenance. Example of services are database monitoring, installation, upgrades, configuration, optimization, maintenance patch management, incident management, problem management and automation. The System Engineer also participates in projects performing supporting database tasks and deployment of new database functionality and procedures. Interfacing Areas * Customer Application Operations * IT Infrastructure, Network and Cloud * IT Development Responsibilities * Perform database installation, upgrades, configuration, optimization, and maintenance * Together with architect, break down HLD (High Level Design) database tasks in projects and releases into actual implementation tasks. * Incident management * Troubleshooting * Problem management * Release work * IT System surveillance * Support security and Patch Management * Document services and procedures * Support our services in sync with Verisure overall business and technical roadmap on scalability for more customers, redundancy, stability, availability, automation and supportability. * Support Product Owner, Scrum Master, System Architect and COAO Manager in the planned Agile work * Where applicable review new microservices before release to production in order to secure they follow database best practices including supportability and monitoring. * Together with COAO team drive excellence in all we do and improve for the future.
